SANTIAGO, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- A capsule, built to rescue 33 miners trapped in a copper mine in northern Chile, will be exhibited at Shanghai Expo, Chilean Interior Minister Rodrigo Hinzpeter said on Sunday.

Capsule Fenix I will be sent to China, and Fenix II, which was used to rescue the miners, will be placed in Ciudadania Square of Santiago, Chile's capital, and Fenix III will be on display in northern Chilean city Copiapo, where the San Jose mine is located, Hinzpeter told a local TV.

The three capsules, built by the Chilean Navy, were made to lift up the miners through a tunnel of 67 cm in diameter.

The 33 miners were trapped 700 meters underground since Aug. 5 when the San Jose mine collapsed. They were all rescued successfully on Oct. 11 after braving a 69-day ordeal.
