Koo Chen-fu, board director of the Strait Exchange Foundation, passed away on January 3, 2005. On February 2 the same year, Sun Yafu and Li Yafei, who then were respectively deputy director and secretary-general of the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits, went to Taibei as the private representatives of Director Wang Daohan to show their condolence of Mr. Koo Chen-fu.
