On May 19, 2006, 1,100 ml medulla was transported from the Taiwan Tzu Chi Headquarters Hospital to the Shanghai Xinhua Hospital and at the same night was transplanted into the body of an acute leukaermina patient in Shanghai.     On November 15, 2001, a surgical case of transplanted medulla from Taiwan, which has been the first one in Shantou, Guangdong, was successfully made in the First Attached Hospital of the Medical College of Shantou University.
