The mainland promulgated its Administrative Measures for the Citizens of China to Come from and Getting to the Taiwan Area in 1991. At present, the compatriots from Taiwan to the mainland can apply for multi-exit visas and long-term resident visas, and it has become more convenient for them to travel across the Straits and live in the mainland.
