The Olympic flame has taken a ride on the London Eye. 17-year-old Amelia Hempleman-Adams held the flame as she stood on top of one of the capsules on the iconic London landmark.

Hempleman-Adams was the youngest person to ski to the South Pole last year. The Olympic flame is continuing its week-long journey around London.

It has already spent more than 60 days touring Britain. Organizers want the flame and the spirit of the games to reach as many neighborhoods as possible.

The relay will end Friday, when the last torchbearer lights the cauldron at the opening ceremony in the Olympic Stadium.
