China's Sun Yang has won gold in men's 400m freestyle, followed by South Korea's Park Tae-hwan in second place. Peter Vanderkaay from the United States won bronze. Park Tae-Hwan, the defending Olympic champion in the event, was reinstated in the final after winning an appeal against a disqualification in the preliminaries. CCTV reporter spoke to Sun Yang as soon as the competition was over.

Q: What's the key to your success?

A: I have gathered a lot of experience from my last competition with Park Tae-Hwan. And this time, I sped ahead in the first half, to make sure I can take the lead in the whole lane. I felt well today, but this is not my best performance.

Q: When you saw your rivals ahead you, what kind of adjustment did you make?

A: The first thing was to adjust my breathing rhythm. If your rhythm is disrupted, you may fail. The most important thing is to take the lead in the first 100 meters, which will make the rest easier.

Q: How about the next two competitions, the Men's 200M butterfly and men's 1500M freestyle

A: I will try my best to get a good result.
