GUANGZHOU, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- The South Korean shooting team, which ended 2006 Doha Asiad trip with three titles, got their ninth and tenth Guangshou Asiad golds from men's 25m standard pistol here on Wednesday.

Hong Seong-hwan, who won men's 25m standard pistol event at the 2010 Munich shooting World Championships, finished as the champion with 575 points. Kim Jong Su of DPR Korea and local pistol master Jing Yongde got the silver and bronze respectively.

With the help of teammates Jang Dae-kyu and Hwang Yoon-sam, Hong made his second gold on the team event.

The accomplishment of the South Korean team excited the South Korean media, and made the South Korean shooters and coaches among the busiest interviewees in Guangzhou Aoti shooting range.

"We did a lot of work before the Asiad," said Cha Young Chul, coach of South Korea's most famous marksman Jin Jong-oh. "Young shooters in South Korea may fall behind at the beginning of their career, because of their comparatively short training time, but their love of shooting keeps pushing them ahead, and finally catch up with others."

Success on the Asiad was far from satisfying the team. They were already looking forward to a spurt in the London Olympics.

"There are still many more great players in South Korea," said the team's head coach. "I want to bring them all to the London Olympics, and shoot down 3 to 5 golds there."
