TAIPEI -- A delegation of the Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF), headed by chairman Chiang Pin-kung, left Taipei for north China's Tianjin municipality on Wednesday to attend the seventh round of cross-Strait talks.
On Thursday, Chen Yunlin, president of the Chinese mainland's Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait (ARATS) and Chiang Pin-kung will have their seventh round of talks since the two organizations resumed talks in June 2008.
The ARATS and the SEF are expected to sign a cross-Strait nuclear power security cooperation agreement at the talks.
The Taiwan negotiators will arrive in Tianjin at noon. On Wednesday afternoon, ARATS vice president Zheng Lizhong and SEF vice chairman Kao Koong-lian will have a preparatory meeting.
