HONG KONG -- Taiwan's share prices fell 34.59 points, or 0.45 percent, to close at 7,491.06 on Tuesday, according to news reaching here from Taipei.

The benchmark weighted index traded between 7,528.78 and 7,475.33 on a turnover of 71.61 billion new Taiwan dollars (about 2.37 billion U.S. dollars).
