A kind of jellyfish known as the "peach blossom jellyfish" in Chinese has recently reappeared in Jialing River, in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality.
The transparent, umbrella-shaped invertebrate grows up to just two centimetres across and has a golden criss-cross framework at its centre.
Appearing some 650 million years ago, the jellyfish has been called a "Living Fossil", dating back to before the era of the dinosaur's. |
