BEIJING -- An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale jolted Santa Cruz Islands at 12:47 p.m. Wednesday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.

The epicenter, with a depth of 60 km, was monitored at 11.4 degrees south latitude and 166.3 degrees east longitude.
