ANKARA -- The death toll of a traffic accident in Turkey's southeastern Adiyaman province on Wednesday has increased to nine and many others were injured, private Dogan news agency reported.

The traffic accident occurred in the evening when a minibus carrying 44 agricultural workers suddenly overturned on Cakal Bridge near the Adiyaman province, said the report.

Health and rescue teams were sent to the scene and the injured have been taken to hospitals in Adiyaman for treatment, while an investigation into the accident was underway.
