KATHMANDU, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- More than seven million people have observed the Nepal Pavilion at the World Expo that is underway in the Chinese industrial city of Shanghai within five months, official said Tuesday.
Director of the Nepal Pavilion, Binayak Shah told myrepublica. com on Tuesday that over 7 million visitors came to observe the Nepal pavilion by Oct. 18, the 171st day since the start of the Expo.
Shah said Nepal Pavilion is among the top 10 best and popular pavilions at the World Expo.
He said the Nepal Pavilion, besides promoting the art and culture of Nepal, has publicized the Nepal Tourism Year-2011 and the five days long trade fair of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) to be held in Kathmandu in December.
The Nepal Implementing Experts' Group established the Nepal Pavilion and it is operating the pavilion at the World Expo. |
