MANILA -- The investigation team from Taiwan on Wednesday interviewed the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) personnel involved in the death of 65-year-old fisherman in the May 9 incident.

But prosecutor Lin Yen-liang refused to disclose details of the interview.

"I cannot give you the details since it's confidential," he said.

Lin said they will continue the investigation and might be able to finish it within two days.

On the other day, the team inspected the maritime control and surveillance (MCS-3001) of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) used by the PCG during the incident.

The team has also finished the inspection and examination of the firearms used by the PCG personnel, including eight M16 rifles, six M14 rifles, and a caliber 50 machine gun.

Investigators from both Taiwan and the Philippines began conducting parallel probes of the shooting incident on Monday.

Taiwanese fisherman Hung Shih-cheng was killed after the Philippine Coast Guards opened fire on his vessel in overlapping waters on May 9. The PCG admitted its men fired on the fishing vessel afterwards.
