Tembin is expected to hit south and southeast Taiwan on Monday afternoon, bringing heavy rains to the affected regions. The tropical storm could also sweep the northern and eastern parts of Taiwan later on Monday, the island's weather forecasters said in a statement.
On Tuesday, rainfall in affected regions could increase noticeably. This bout of rain will continue until Wednesday morning.
Meanwhile, Typhoon Bolaven, centered 600 km away from northeast Taiwan, is expected to affect waters surrounding Taiwan. The public is advised to reduce maritime activities.
