Taiwan University announced Tuesday that it is cooperating with Fudan University in Shanghai to open an EMBA class for both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
According to the reports of Taiwan meidia, the two-year EMBA program is aimed at nurturing talents from mainland and Taiwan on business strategy, leadership and effective organization ability.
Taiwan University Vice President Tang Ming-je said that since the school opened the EMBA class in 1997, it has already nurtured more than 1,900 members over the years.
With increased cross-strait exchanges, closer linkage between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait on advanced learning is inevitable, Tang said.
Lu Xiongwen, dean of the Fudan University School of Management, said via a video conference that bilateral exchanges would definitely bring more benefits than unilateral learning. Chen Houn-gee, executive officer of Taiwan University's EMBA program, said that the class will recruit 30 students from each side of the Taiwan Strait.
The students will spend one third of their time in Taipei and two-thirds of the program in Shanghai so as to learn more about their respective cultural and business environment. |
